Hamsa hands are traditionally a symbol of protection from the "evil eye" and negative energy, and I always feel safe and protected when I'm connecting with nature. So I had the inspiration to make a piece that had a Hamsa hand with a beautiful scenic view inside, symbolizing the comfort I feel when connecting with the breathtaking nature of the Pacific Northwest. This piece also features the Hebrew word "Chai" meaning "life", which signifies blessings and vitality.
Approximately 5 x 7 inches
Made on Basswood plaque. Each piece will vary slightly due to natural discrepancies in each piece of wood (grains and knots in the wood), as well as the wood burning being done by hand.
