Frequently Asked Questions

What is pyrography?

Pyrography is the art of creating designs by burning into the surface of a material like wood or leather using heat. For my wood burning pieces, I use a wire-nib type pen to create all the designs directly onto the wood.

Do you offer returns?

Unfortunately, we do not offer returns at this time.

I make an effort to take clear photos and include dimension details to ensure you know what you are getting. And of course, if you have any other questions or want any more information before purchasing, you can email me anytime.

What wood do you use?

All of my wood burnings are done on natural, hand cut Basswood.

Where are your wood burnings made?

All of my wood burnings are done by me in the Pacific Northwest, surrounded by the nature that inspires me.

How do I hang my wood burning pieces?

Each piece comes with a mounting hole pre-drilled into the back. To hang it, all you have do is hammer a nail in the wall at slight upwards angle, and then hang your piece on the nail using the hole.  You can also prop it against a wall or place it on a small stand, based on your preference.

How do I take care of my wood burning piece?

I make my wood burning art to last by using dark deep lines to prevent fading. However, wood burnings are subject to fading over time, especially if frequently exposed to sunlight. Keeping it in a location where the sun does not hit it directly is important. Wood can also dry out if kept in a room with very low humidity. Keeping the humidity at a proper rate in the room where the piece is displayed will help your wood burning piece last a long time.
